教宗若望保禄二世推荐《向圣弥厄尔大天使的祈祷经文》

1994年4月24日星期天，教宗若望保禄二世建议所有的天主教徒应该为教会诵念这端经文时说：

“愿这端经文加强我们的力量，以进行灵性上的战争。在厄弗所的书信中我们知道：‘你们务要在主内，借祂的能力作坚强的人。’（弗6:10）在黙示录里也提到了这场战争，圣弥厄尔大天使的画像浮现在我们眼前（默12:7）。教宗良十三世当然对此情景有清晰的回忆。（他在一次神视中看到了圣教会的未来，看到魔鬼前所未有地破坏圣教会，以及圣弥厄尔大天使的最后凯旋，战胜魔鬼。）那时，在上个世纪末（19世纪），他给普世圣教会介绍了一篇向圣弥厄尔大天使的特殊祈祷经文。虽然这端经文如今在弥撒之后不再诵念，但我请求大家不要忘记，并且还要诵念它，为了在对抗黑暗势力和这个世界的邪灵时获得帮助。”

注：教宗良十三世（1810-1903）意大利人，在位时间1878-1903，第256任教宗。

Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel

On Sunday April 24th 1994, Pope John Paul II recommendedthis prayer be used by all Catholics as a prayer for the Church when he said:

"May prayer strengthen us for the spiritualbattle we are told about in the Letter to the Ephesians: 'Draw strength fromthe Lord and from His mighty power' (Ephesians 6:10). The Book of Revelationrefers to this same battle, recalling before our eyes the image of St. Michaelthe Archangel (Revelation 12:7). Pope Leo XIIIcertainly had a very vivid recollection of this scene when, at the end of thelast century, he introduced a special prayer to St. Michael throughout theChurch. Although this prayer is no longer recited at the end of Mass, I ask everyone not to forget it and torecite it to obtain help in the battle against forces of darkness and against the spirit of this world."
